Date: 14th May, 2012
Time: 6-9pm
Venue: Stocklands Mall, Wetherill Park
I'm all for when the artist and the community at large have the opportunity to give their input into shared spaces.
This was the case for what's happening at Wetherill Park Stocklands Mall. This area has always been a shopping precinct and houses one of the very few cinema complexes in Western Sydney.
Adrian Castro and I were in attendance, as well as a handful of community leaders, arts practitioners, NGOs who spoke about how the shared space can best be utilised.
From, cultural cooking classes, motivational martial arts space, a community cafe and a film screening and training hub, these are some the awesome ideas that was put forward.
