Make Your Voice Heard!
Digital Series Film Club will be running a FREE workshop, Speak Out! Introduction to Presenting, Vox pops and Interviewing, at The Shed on 8 April, during the Easter break.Speak Out! Is for any young persons from 16-30 years old who have always wanted to give presenting a go but never had the opportunity.
In this drop in session, attendees will be taken from the very beginning of the craft to also giving it a go in from of the camera. In addition, you will learn about vocal techniques, physical presence and live performance skills. Participants will be invited to test their presenting skills at the 2012 Bring It On! Youth Festival.
“Media is becoming more and more interactive and communities can become empowered through developing their own voice as well as collecting their community’s responses to the issues that matter”. says Maria Tran, Digital Series Coordinator.
“Hopefully this workshop will spark the imaginations of young people to start up their own shows that can go online and who knows, on mainstream TV”. Maria adds.
Speak Out! will be held on Sunday April 8th at 9am-3pm at The Shed, 6 Carramar Ave, Carramar, 2163. The class is FREE, however spaces are limited so book now to by registering here: http://tiny.cc/c8aibw
