Digital Series meeting on this Saturday 6.30pm SHARP. It is mandatory for all members and is open to the public. It is going to be a regrouping session and also a refocus on where we want this initiative to head. Whether its Films - Art - Life... It's come to my attention that YOU are important. Our diverse experiences and expressions is the key ingredient to making this initiative and the magic happens when we recognize each other's abilities and see it's application.
A couple shout outs to:
Quan Tran: He's made his first short film and entering it into the 2011 Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival
Jack Ngu: Tweaking his mock trailer "Chungking Allstations"
Stephanie In: as a trainer for the community-based workshop "Pen n Paper" - great reviews from people and the other organisations.
Mehran Rows: making a TVC and script writing for next short
Mike Kang: shooting his next feature film "Pitbulls" and applied for the Screen Australia Script Factory
Thuy Ng: continuing JMC Film Academy
Marie Setiawan: shooting short film
Adrian Castro: submission of "Django" to the film festivals and working in collaboration with Laurent Boiteux's "Hidden Peaks"
Andy Minh Trieu: back on track with filming channel 9" Kitchen Whiz"
Collaboratively, this is the amazing efforts we are achieving on a week to week basis and in between our 9-5 jobs or schooling, we still manage to do great things.
Keep your spirits up and see you all in Saturday!
Yours truly,
Maria Tran
