Media Release | August 2011
You are invited to participate in a free acting, comedy and improvisation workshop held this Saturday, 13 August at the Fairfield School of Arts.

Training activities will be led by community facilitators and performers: Jack Ngu, “My Place” ABC TV actor Maria Tran and featuring co-host of Channel 9’s “Kitchen Whiz” Andy Minh Trieu.

“ I hope to share some of my television experiences  to help people develop characters and make people laugh” says Andy Minh Trieu.

“There  is a big appetite for performing and screen culture out here in the west. This workshop will surely pack out” adds Maria Tran.

Young people will learn about creating characters and scenes, and develop key skills in acting and the basics of comedy. At the end of the workshop, all participants will have produced their own short sketches and scenes.

Intro to Acting, Comedy & Improv will run on 13 August (10-5pm) School of Arts, 19 Harris St, Fairfield.

This session is proudly supported by Fairfield City Council, Community First Step and Powerhouse Youth Theatre.
